Emmanuel is taking away that which is central and crucial to it's own success: amazing professors. It's shameful and despicable that admirable professors are routinely being shoved out the door, and that the students who support them are ignored and/or scolded.

I never had the opportunity to take a class with Dr. Mehta, but was able to take multiple with Dr. Fortin. As my advisor, he was able to help me tremendously with concerns regarding both a career in the field of history and life as a whole. I personally requested to have Dr. Fortin as my advisor because of his skills and capabilities and his denial of tenure discredits the positive influence he has on my life and so many others as a professor. As a rising senior, having my advisor taken away from Emmanuel would be an abrupt change and create a difficult hurdle to overcome in which will already be the most important and stressful academic year to come.

Dr. Fortin was an amazing professor that not only helped me become a better writer, but helped me see history in a new light.

I have had both Dr. Mehta and Dr. Fortin, and I can easily say they are two of the best professors at Emmanuel.

I have only heard amazing things regarding Dr. Mehta, and looking forward to taking psychology classes with her. I hope she receives tenure for all the meaningful connections she has made with students, as well with those to come.

I came to Emmanuel to have one on one faculty-student relationships. This won't happen if they aren't here from year to year!

I'm signing this for Dr. Mehta, who I can whole heartedly say taught my favorite and most informative class at Emmanuel. She is the best professor I've ever had.

Both professors go beyond the expectations established by the college and demonstrate the college's and SND mission. They are assets to the institution that separates us from other moderately competitive universities.

Dr. Mehta is an amazing professor. I have not even personally had her as a teacher, but I still feel as though she has affected my college career in such a positive way.
Professors like Dr. Fortin and Dr. Mehta are worth the investment. Yes money is an issue at the college, but shouldn't the education of students be more important? The reputation of the school and it's name should be preserved and supported by the outstanding faculty. This is why I chose this institution. I wanted to learn in an environment where the professors cared about what they were teaching and for the well being of their students.
Class of 2015, EC has loads of mediocre ad juncts but year after year they seem to be systematically letting the good ones go. Hope to see some change.

Emmanuel will not be receiving my endorsement until serious institutional change comes through. This is only the first step.
