We the undersigned petition the Common Clerk of The City of Saint John to recall the below listed mayor as outlined 2 George V,1912 and as amended 1 Edward viii , 1936 that an election be held as soon as possible. The reason is the failure to address the serious financial situation of the City and the proposed further expenditures on capital projects. Mayor - Ivan Court

Thousands of voters in Saint John have already signed this important petition on paper and via email, but thousands more are needed if the petition is to be effective, so on July 17th we added this ipetitions method of signing the petition. It is projected that the tax rate will increase by about 30% unless the mayor and council stop the spending and start cutting expenses. We cannot afford these increases. During the last election the mayor and council were elected on the premise of lowering taxes. We urge all who are dissatisfied with the city administration, tax rate or future capital expenditures to sign this recall petition. You must have been a registered voter in the City of Saint John during the May 2008 municipal election to qualify. - The Committee for a More Responsible Saint John.
