Will the USA ever join the civilized, modern world and leave behind the god awful desecration and prolonged torture of animals that is allowed only here? Whether done in state parks or on private land, it belongs nowhere among modern societies. Karolina Johnson

Is there no safe haven? For animals or people? Please do not allow hunting and trapping in state parks. Nor should trapping be allowed anywhere.

Traps should be outlawed altogether.

Because hunters have gone mad and they can push their agenda regardless of who is in charge, democrats or republicans, because the majority of the citizens in this country don't give a damn about animals.

I Propose to have the lobbyist Bob Welch and the 3,000 members of bear hunting club to be shackled and put in these traps and left there until they are dead or chew their own feet. These low life sub-human parasites do not deserve the air they breathe and pollute.

Too many people and pets can be killed, there's plenty of other places in WI to hunt/fish.

This is total BS. Why would they allow hunting and trapping in state parks? Is their no safe haven for wildlife? How about when the hunters mistake your dog for a coyote or your dog gets caught in a vile trap.....

What kind of drugs were being done by the lawmakers who passed ACT 168? Allowing people who intend to actively use guns into a park occupied by moving people, especially the unpredictable movements of children & "weekend athletes," is a tragedy waiting to happen! In my very considered opinion, every politician who signed on to this bill should be included in any lawsuits brought as a result of injury or loss of life that may have occurred in relation to this act.

It is a crime against nature to assume that all non-human creatures are on earth for our convenience and are ours to destroy at will. Please delay the implementation of this law until all safety, legal, environmental and economic concerns are in place. While working on those concerns, please keep in mind that wildlife serves a place in the circle of life.

How much can we sound off and use our voices. This is one of the cruelest practices around. Think about how you would feel if your child, yourself or a pet was trapped.

NO animal should suffer in the USA. We are not past this? USA should be ashamed we allow this suffering for wildlife. If it is not alright for a pet it is not alright for wildlife. NO suffering is except able.

Why do we permit human hunters to slaughter the strands in the web of all life?

These traps are horrible, they only make an animal suffer. What if it was your pet that got stuck in one. I hate these traps
