Most definitely NOT a safe route.

The river floods at times on this walking route, so obviously children would be at risk.
Also there are animals grazing in the meadow - they can be unpredictable.
It’s an isolated area and in the light of Oxford’s recent crime publicity a lone walk even for adult and child is definitely not appropriate.

The shortest designated route is not safe via the towpath of the River Thames.
