A call for safety on Sài Gòn streets (SOSS)

I was stalked by the security guard in my full-service apartment building in D3. I was even living with my boyfriend. This security guard would repeatedly enter my apartment with his own key. He would time his entrance into our apartment after my boyfriend left for work in the mornings. The situation kept escalating and we moved immediately. This was in 2018. The apartment building was 129 Ly Chinh Thang, D3, HCMC. We moved to Bihn Duong because I don't feel safe in HCMC. The police are useless.

Women in my area have recently been victims of violent attacks as well.

I completely agree that more action needs to be done to protect both foreigners & locals in HCMC. Especially for females. The policing here is appalling with little or no support for theft, robbery, indecent exposure victims and things must change now. CCTV would help and deter criminals to a certain point but it isn't enough. I can't believe the lack of support for victims here, especially the foreign females. HCM is becoming increasingly dangerous for women so I really hope this petition helps!!

This needs to stop! Police needs to stand up and enforce change so people feel safe on the streets.

I was robbed near my house last year, so I don't want it to happen to anyone in the future.

I’ve been robbed in June 2020 in front of my house and reporting to Thao Dien policy officers was useless.

While I love living in Vietnam, the recent inscrease of street crime combined with reluctance of the police to accept crime reports make me worried about my everyday safety
