Safety measures to be put into place at co op crossing Campbeltown

My baby girl almost got hit yesterday along with Jane & Andy, whilst in her pram. This has also happened twice with my wife, once when she was crossing with the baby in the pram & then another time trying to cross with our 11yr old son & his friend. I as a driver have also had to be cautious when approaching this area, as both motorists & pedestrians can get confused when passing or crossing this area. It's probably the busiest part of Campbeltown, as it's the main entrance to the centre of the town, the main route (a83) out of town, & with 2 busy side roads, dividing 2 busy supermarkets. There really should be some sort of crossing in place, either zebra or controlled by traffic lights.

As a driver this is a great bit of road but not planned well for pedestrians to cross. Please fix it before someone loses their life.Lives are more important than large motor vehicles.

I agree something should be done before something happens

I signed this petition as I nearly paid with my life today on this crossing time something was done ✅ about it before someone gets killed

there is a crossing badly needed at these points the speed of some of the traffic is awful and dont give the elderly and disabled a thought

This is a very dangerous area to cross, yes there is an area for wheelchairs but what about pedestrians especially people with prams or the elderly

Just dreadful, the crossing is dangerous to pedestrians please fix this before someone gets hurt!

This area of Campbeltown is so dangerous for pedestrians. A popular supermarket entrance/ exit and a 3 way junction just after. Something needs to be done before there is a serious accident.
