My children go to Sperling elementary and the car traffic in that area is already terrible. Opening a throughway will just make he traffic worse and more dangerous for the kids.

Opening up this through road will drastically change the lovely community feel of this neighbourhood. The safety of the street for the benefit of our children is of first priority. Yeovil Avenue and Yeovil Place are a path to Sperling school each day for dozens and dozens of families. This is because it's safe, not open to cars to speed through. Opening this road up will change that and endanger those families walking to and from the school each day. Please consider moving the meridian back to allow laneway access to neighbours who need it and the city trucks but do not open the road up!

We have huge concerns about opening a through road in our area, not only do our children walk to school on the road in all type of weather, they also ride their bikes and play ball in our community cul-de-sac, we would be extremely sad not allow them to play were they have for years. Also the traffic around the school would be out of control with a new danger point. We hope that you can move the meridian back and give back our community area, while still giving lane access if it’s a must. Please hear our voice our children and families deserve it.

New school year is coming. Please keep our children and our community safe. City of Burnaby should take actions before it is too late.

We dont want any changes in the area. It will create too much traffic.

Too many children walking to and from Sperling school thru the cul de sac. No sidewalks makes for an extremely dangerous situation. Strongly against the idea of putting access through this pathway. This is a disastrous accident waiting to happen.

We recently moved into this neighbourhood and one of the key elements that attracted us to this house is the home being tucked away and shares in two cul-de-sacs. With the well-being of young families in mind, this is a priority for us and our neighbours. The proposed changes undoubtedly impacts more than the subject homeowners, but many other families in our community. We request the City to consider other options and consult with all homes affected with the goal of creating a better, safer community that satisfies the City’s development requirements. This is a tightly bonded community and many neighbours have lived her for many, many years - we all just want the best for our community.

I live in the direct vicinity of this back lane. We were a victim of a B&E last year. Due to the barricade blocking the street my neighbours were able to catch the thieves on their camera systems. If they had access to a drive through street who knows how many others may be a victim as well. The culprits came back 6 months later to case a few of my neighbours houses.
