Improve safety at junction of Astwood Road and Bilford Road

Crossing to and from bus stops nearly impossible at times for a fit person...impossible for an elderly one. Traffic often dangerously fast around the corner and especially over the canal bridge.

Since moving to a house right at this junction about 5 yrs ago, I have seen about 8 fairly serious car collisions and an almost daily occurrence of near misses involving screeching of brakes and car-horns being sounded. Getting in and out of my house by foot, bike or car is very difficult due to a blind bend to the right on Astwood Road, and cars coming round it far too fast. Somekind of traffic calming is needed.

The massive school footfall with kids and traffic why not protect both parties and encourage a good safe crossing

Dangerous junction for pedestrians. Will be even more so if the council allows the building of a football stadium on Perdiswell park.

My son has to cross this junction on foot or on his bike to get to and from Tudor Grange. He is keen to be more independent but the unsafe nature of this junction is a constant worry for me.

I think a roundabout would be a good idea at this junction: there is enough space.
