Residents of South Vale, Upper Norwood, London SE19 will attest to the following: Car and Van drivers are causing both a nuisance and a road safety concern by driving above the speed limit and by mounting the kerb to speed along the street. In a majority of these incidents, the drivers will be exceeding the legal speed limit for residential roads. This is also potentially creating a dangerous situation for residents and families exiting their homes. We, the undersigned, call on both Croydon Borough Council and Transport for London (TFL) to install road traffic calming measures in South Vale. This is to prevent car and van drivers from driving above the speed limits and mounting the kerbs causing potential danger to pedestrians, particularly children resident in the street.
