Frankford Avenue is our neighborhood's walkable commercial corridor, but to date our elected officials and transportation agency staff have insisted on privileging the experience of drivers who speed through the neighborhood on the way to someplace else. This does not help our local businesses or residents, and only puts people in danger who are walking and shopping on foot here. Putting stop signs and crosswalks at every intersection is a critical first step toward matching Frankford Avenue's transportation system to its actual use. I urge you to pass these changes as soon as possible.
