WE, the Undersigned, feel that there is a requirement of the Gleadless Valley Community for safe paving to be installed in the area outlined below ((see https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=9E411138897BB75B&id=9E411138897BB75B%21109&v=3 (looks like it's a case of copying and pasting the url lol :D ) )) . A suggestion would be tactile corner paving on the corner of the access road to Newfield Green Shopping Centre continuing round on both sides with a dropped kerb on both sides of the car park entrance allowing safe access for pedestrians to dwellings, Housing office , shops etc. Community members are currently encouraged to cross Gleadless Rd at this location by , a) the stairs leading up from Plowright Mount, and the paved area ‘break’ in the grassed area which runs alongside Gleadless Rd. b) The close proximity of the bus stop and lack of any other hard kerb up to the junction with Leighton road.

We feel that this could easily be accomplished as part of the intended ‘PFI’ road and footpath improvements.
