Surely the safety of children must take precedence over someone’s view being spoilt for 4 hours once a week

Things like this should be approved without question.i played at the red rose ground many times myself over the years and parking was a problem at times.i fully understand the residents views but the council should realy be backing this.lives are at risk.

My husband and daughter were hit from behind whilst turning into the Mellor Lea Farm Estate 12 years ago. Parking has got worse since then every Sunday throughout the football season.

This is a necessity to keep children safe.. Isn't child safety supposedly up high on the list on all council manifestos...?

Angela Smith is acting under false pretences... she no longer represents the people that voted her in...!

Great Club, not only an investment in the ground, but an investment in the healthy futures of all the kids and young adults at the club.

The car park makes nether lane safer. I am a resident of Whitley View, which the car par backs onto. No objections great idea to extend.

Absolutely daft! I thought it should have been bigger to be honest. Obviously costs may have been a stumbling block. Where can you find the grievance/issue? I would really like to see the actual argument against it!

Visited this ground many times over the years and always worried about parking. I just can't understand why anyone would rather put children in danger when the club have found a safer solution.

It will be far more inconvenient for residents if people have to park around the housing estates. Great club, great sport and support the kids keeping fit and off the streets

The road is far too dangerous to be crossing children, with its links to the motorway some vehicles are heavy goods lorries. The oncoming traffic has reduced visibility due to the volume of parked cars on either side of the road so a bigger car park would be safer for children, parents, visitors and other road users.

Why an earth would people be against it? As for Angela Smith-what a disappointment you are!!! Kids safety comes first, full stop

It’s only a small car park, so this would make it safer, Especially for the lower ages of grass routs

Safety of the children is paramount. Keep the car park open and the football club going
