I live in Woodley Park. I frequently travel on Columbia Road by bus, bike, walking or driving. I often shop or dine at Ace, Safeway, CVS, Gary Taylor Frame Shop, Perry's, Yes!, Fleet Feet, Pitango, Lapis, Streets. My two daughters recently graduated from Oyster Adams Middle School and walked across Columbia Road twice daily. My wife currently works remotely at Venture X four days per week. I want it to be safer and more efficient to make trips by bus, bike, or walking.

I lived at the intersection where Nina was killed- Columbia Road needs to change so that never happens again.

I often hop on Columbia Road at 13th St, on my way to Adam’s Morgan or Rock Creek park. It’s a very difficult road to bike and needs to be made safer!

Please build concrete protected bike lanes, protected intersections and bus lanes. Reduce car lanes and street parking

We’ve been car free for 25 years and a safe route on Columbia would be a boost for equity, the climate and sales for neighborhood merchants.

As a cyclist, Columbia Rd. has always been a major crosstown artery for me in my many commutes over two decades. Unfortunately, its current state is incredibly dangerous for not only cyclists, but for motorists and pedestrians as well. We need maximum safety and efficiency for all modes of travel!

I currently avoid most of Columbia Road and 18th Street because they're unsafe and unpleasant to bike _or_ walk on. I look forward to being able to ride to Adams Morgan instead of having to avoid the neighborhood, its businesses, and my friends who live there for my own safety.

I live on Columbia Road and when I bike on the section between 18th and 16th, I feel super exposed and unsafe. It’s scary! It needs to be protected.

As a resident on Adams Mill road, I strongly support this project. It will make the road safer for me and my neighbors! I'm tired of our neighborhood being a cut-through for cars, I want a better main street.

I bike and ride the 42/43 on Columbia Rd and this will make it safer for bicyclists and faster for the buses.

We need safer streets for other modes of transportation other than cars.

Buses and Bikes are better for humanity than cars and trucks. Drivers kill 1,300,000 people annually. Promote alternative modes of transport, please.

I ride the 42-43 to the State Department for work from Mt. Pleasant. In the afternoons, it's actually faster to get off and walk at 18th and Colombia Road to Mt. Pleasant than to sit on the bus on Colombia Road. It makes the commute 20 minutes longer just on that stretch. Many riders drive when bus commutes are too long, which makes traffic even worse.
