We, the undersigned, would like to bring to your notice the need to provide safer bicycle lanes in Holgate, New Jersey. S. Long Beach Blvd. is very narrow from the Beach Haven line to the parking lot at the south end of the Blvd. During the summer season, thousands of bicyclist, runners, walkers etc. use the north and south bound bicycle lanes. As a result, it is extremely important from a safety frame of reference that the users know the proper direction of travel when using the bicycle lanes. As a result, we are requesting that signage and/or decals painted onto the roadway at regular intervals be utilized to assist users in determining the proper direction of travel in order to avoid accidents.
