I'm a teacher and a parent. I have to trust the science. Schools that are already open are not having COVID problems, so it can be done safely.

Finally, this is very needed and I am surprised this county is wanting to do this.

Not only reopen the schools, but assess needs of students to provide needed remediation. Some have lost a year of education.

Children need to be back in school. They are falling behind and missing out on much needed social skills.

Teachers unions are showing they only care about the teachers health. Teachers are brave and want to fulfill their responsibility as an essential worker and help their students. Let's put the pressure on the teachers union to accept the reality that student are hurting emotionally and need to get back in class.

Yes, vaccinate the K-6 teachers first, then open those schools. But still test the kids on a regular basis.

Yes these kids have suffered enough. To me education is key & our kids are not getting a quality education. Pretty soon all of the the parents are going to put there kids in a private school & there will be not funding for these public schools. The superintendent in Evergreen school district has NO answers & ignores all concerned parents questions. She only cares about passing things that have no to build new buildings. What good does that do if there are no kids that are going physically to these schools! Pretty sad if you ask me.

I agree with Major Liccardo ' s statement and my reasons are that our children are being mentally and emotionally affected by this and certain groups such as lower income families and children with disabilities have more trouble by learning at virtual distance. Please ,reopen schools and if Some parents don't agree ,give them the choice to keep learning from home.
