Recent robberies and assaults in Ottawa in regards to online sales of merchandise, we are requesting City of Ottawa and Ottawa Police to create "safe transactions zones" in common areas in the city where residents of our city can safely exchange merchandise. Zones would be monitored 24/7 by a CCTV cameras.Under normal circumstances there will be no Police intervention, they will not mediate private transactions, documentation or be a witness to a transaction.Creating a zone in the police lobby and parking lot is really just about moving these transactions away from secluded parking lots or other areas they often occur and bring them to a public place. Creating a Transaction Zone to finalize online sales has become a growing trend in policing.
Last month, I made a mistake in receiving a suspicious lady into my house for purchasing a diamond ring, had to follow her because she pretend coming from out of town and she was walking with no purse nor a cell phone. To my surprise she got to a pick up very far from my house. I called her and told her I'm reporting her to Ottawa Police. I will never do it again. I'm still scared maybe she will come back and rob my house. sometime in the future.
