I have volunteered at a wildlife rescue centre for years including hedgehogs and know only too well that this is a certain death sentence with a great deal of of suffering. Such creatures should never be pets regardless, but this is abuse and has to be stopped - not just for these two if they can be found, but all others who are not given the care they deserve!

I own a hedgie! & he has to stay 73-80 degrees at all times or he can attempt hibernation & that can kill him. Please bring these domesticated hedgies back to a good owner so they survive this awful winter.

When will people learn? And ( N/a'an ku sê) should know better. "Not knowing that they are not the wild hedgehogs ( Southern African Hedgehog, Aleterix Frontalis)." as a well known establishment that prides themselves in most wildlife matters one has to wonder how little they are invested in getting to know the species and "breeds" they have in their care. Not knowing is not an excuse. Its careless.

This is in support of the hedgehogs which have been left by careless people who actually do not have a heart for animals that are not suited for where they are now
