Crossing Ruakura Road is dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians alike. I am most worried about school children. A traffic light would make this much safer,. Please install one.

People wanting to bike or walk are deterred when there is just one unsafe, difficult crossing. Ruakura Road is a high traffic volume example.

This is a very dangerous road for cyclists and pedestrians and absolutely needs much safer access across Ruakura Road and into the Ag Research Campus!

I support efforts to improve safety of cycling commuters to the University of Waikato; the Ruakura Road area is particularly problematic and is a poor gateway to the university and Ruakura campus.

Yes please. Very busy road that needs to cater better to people (especially children) on foot and on bikes.

Safe carriageways for non-vehicle commuters should be a priority in Hamilton so that even the youngest &/oldest can use the roadways safely.

This is a key access road to many destinations, many of them schools.

This is so needed now, and yet neither HCC nor Tainui want to provide it. How many people have to die crossing this road before we get a safe pedestrian push-button traffic-light crossing?

I thoroughly agree that a crossing is needed. Either that or a footpath on the northern side of Ruakura Rd from the Knighton Rd roudabout. I have seen too many near misses

safety into campus is very important. I believe in putting human safety first before anything.
There is a desperate need for this crossing to be made safe

Hi everyone, the hearing went really well and I was grateful to hear a supporting submission from Enrich+. Dave Macpherson is taking this further so fingers crossed we see some action! Thanks again for your support, I am certain it has helped.

I come from Wanganui and have been shown where my friends have to take their children, Mothers must have near heart attacks trying to run the gauntlet getting their children safely to childcare, or to their school. NZTA take too long and then do not always act in the best interests of the public.
