Safe Road Crossing at Woodpecker Hall Academy

Needed urgently

Something needs to be done the road is so dangerous with speeding cars, doubled parked vechiels and drivers insisting on doing 3 point turns. We did have yellow lines outside the school which made a huge difference but after 1 month they have been covered over

We need to make the road safe for children and parents to cross. Too many drivers drive dangerously past the school. If we have a zebra crossing it will make them stop to prevent anyone getting hurt

Safety of our children is more important than anything else.

Good idea urgently needed

There shouldn't be a price on children's safety it needs doing

We would be so greatful if there was a safety road crossing infront of my kids school as it is very dangerous!

The island crossings at in the area are inadequate as cars rarely stop on what is a very busy route. Therefore children's safety is put at risk.

This is absolutely necessary for the safest of all our pupils and adults

Very happy to see this petition. Crossing is very dangerous outside this school and I would hate for action to be taken after an incident rather than preventative action.

Woodpecker school is in need of a crossing because it gets very busy with traffic and very hard for parents and carers to cross safely with their children and very young ones un a pram .

I have witnessed 2 incidents where children have been at risk on this dangerous road, thank you for helping us make this safe for our children

Dear Sir/Madam, Please hear our concerns as parents and install a pedestrian crossing. Nightingale Road is a very busy main road, used by buses, HGV vehicles, cars and pedestrians. A crossing with the relevant lighting will make this crossing safer for all and encourage drivers to slow down. Kind Regards Rose

A crossing should definitely be installed outside of the school - the safety of the children is paramount.

The children's safety must come first. A crossing is desperately needed.
