KEEP PENSION COST OUT OF THE CLASSROOM

We the undersigned support the Maryland State Education Association's efforts to take all necessary action to preserve education funding and to keep pension costs out of the classroom. As Executive Director David Helfman said:

"A pension shift is no different than an assualt on Thornton funding.  It's wrong, and must be stoped. A shift away from defined benefits is a direct assault on educators and retirees. It's wrong, and must be stopped."

We educators have made Maryland schools #1 in the nation. We've kept our promise! It's time for legislators to keep their promise to Maryland's children and educators.
