Cycling in Bristol is getting more dangerous not safer. The Metrobus route seems to be part of the problem at the moment. We need to ensure that both bus and cycling flourish.

Patchy half-arsed cycle lanes does not a 'Cycle City' make!

Thank you. The city needs to step up with ambition, funding and leadership. Cycling is a sustainable, healthy and affordable way of getting around the city and a vital part of our Transport for Bristol plans.

Step 1 to 10 is winning hearts and minds of local politicians. When they see cycling as a fix for many expensive & complex issues, then more will happen. Health now being a local responsibility is a massive economic driver.

How about - allowing cycles to go the 'wrong way' on all one-way streets unless marked otherwise - making lots of 'lane each way' streets a single one-way lane and putting a separated pair of cycle lanes in the space freed up

To call Bristol a 'cycling friendly city' is laughable when you compare us to many European cities. It's time we got serious about making cycling safer.

Many roads are 3 lanes wide. Motor vehicles should have only two lanes, not three The spare lane can be used for people riding bikes, with a barrier between bikes and motors.

Bristol, green city, cycling city. Needs all the help and support from the council. The safer it is then maybe more people will get out of their car and onto their bikes!

Safe, connected cycle ways and safe protected walkways for pedestrians may encourage people to get out of their cars.

They're doing great things in London with protected cycleways. It can be done. Let's see much more of them here in Bristol.

I dont cycle because I consider it too dangerous. My journey to work would be only 20 mins by bicycle. Driving is s afer.

Safe cycle lanes please. The present cycle lanes are no protection against speeding traffic and are used for parking by motor vehicles.

The current provision, throwing cyclists into bus lanes is lazy and dangerous. Bristol needs a dedicated cycling infrastructure. I've stopped my cycle commute because of metro bus, which has ruined a safe, traffic free route used by thousands.
