Consideration has be given to cyclists with cycle lanes - children safety issues should also be given consideration there are several safety measures that could be considered zebra crossing along the high road to benefit all children who attend schools/nurseries along Balham high road towards Tooting Bec or metal railings outside the school. I myself have witness accidents outside tesco petrol station why do we need two petrol stations opposite each other anyway.

Children safety needs urgent attention. Alone Balham high Road. Many schools on that stretch of road to many children at risk

And barriers at pavement edge to prevent children running into the road.

Please ensure that our children are safeguarded from the local traffic, particularly the large lorries passing. Please could you also ensure that pollution/particulate monitoring is performed and available daily to the school.

The entrance and exits from Tescos garage are very dangerous - with poor visibility for pedestrians crossing and cars travelling at speed, without due care. Cars parked along the exit road cut visibility for all.
I also have concerns that children are able to run out of the school gate and straight on to the main road - there is no barrier to stop this happening, as is the case outside most primary schools.
Child safety in this area, particularly at peak times must be addressed before serious injury or worse happens.

If not a lollipop lady, then a Safe crossing needs to be put in place

I am becoming increasingly concerned with the speed at which cars pull into the Tesco car park right next to the school gate. Please treat this as a matter of urgency.

Road safety needs to be improved at the entrance to Tesco forecourt next to the school. It is a dangerous and very busy crossing for pupils and other pedestrians.

this is imperative, there have already been 2 near misses. let's not wait for a tragedy in order to get the council to act.

There have been two horrendous accidents within yards of the school gate in the past year and countless others on this stretch of road. Cars drive at speed in both directions, somehow encouraged by the wide lanes and deceptive clear roads ahead. There are cars turning into and out of Balham Park Road, cars turning into and out of the Tesco shop and petrol station and cars turning into and out of the BP petrol station in some cases having to cross five lanes of traffic. Add to this scores of children, not only from our school, but from many other schools, trying to negotiate not only the roads but also the cars driving across all the drop down kerb vehicular entrances in the area, there needs to be something to make the whole area safer.

It is just a matter of time - the entrance to Tescos is unsafe and there have been far too many near misses. With a growing school next door it is crucial that this is made safer as a matter of urgency.

Urgently required before there is a tragic accident involving a child / the school will grown year on year to have 400 + kids

It would be amazing to make this section of road safe, not only for the children of Rutherford House School but for all the children in the area who cross this busy place.

Even a flashing light between 8:15-8:30 and 3:20-3:40 at the zebra crossing would be great

Balham High Road is a straight and wide road and some drivers take this as an opportunity for speeding which adds to the dangers amongst the many already facing parents and children. More "attention schools" and "children crossing" signs as well as flashing lights are definitively needed.

Road safety around Rutherford House School should be looked at as a matter of urgency. This is a very busy road/junction with a number of accidents over the last few years. Parents and children cross this stretch of road regularly in the mornings and afternoon. I am very worried that an accident will occur.

this is a very dangerous road and I would welcome any and all safety measures you can put in place outside Rutherford house
