This is a petition for Racine Unified School District to close all RUSD school on Wednesday January 7, 2015 due to extremely cold and unsafe weather conditions.
The district is silent while temperatures continue to drop. Send an email to the school board members right now and tell them that student safety is a non-negotiable priority.
January 7, 2015
The momentum behind this push is undeniable and shows the administration exactly how many families are concerned for our students. Text this link to three neighbors right now to ensure the district sees the full weight of our demands.

The conditions are supposed to be horrendous, so why should we have to suffer for the district's dumb mistakes?

If you think keeping school open is OKAY, it's not. Not everybody can get driven to school. People walk, some people even have to wait for the bus outside for 15+ minutes. I'm sure standing outside in -35 degree weather , for 10+ mins will result in frostbite.

It's gonna be very very cold tomorrow. Possibility of -35 wind chill, think of people who have to walk to and from school. It's only closed because the weather and roads? So the kids who have to walk should suffer right? This weather is ridiculous, but having school in session in frostbite conditions is even more ridiculous.
