The live-action movie of Rurouni Kenshin (or Samurai X) is out and will be showing in 64 countries!
Bad news is so far, the Philippines is not included in those 64 countries.
Why? The anime was shown in ABS-CBN, AXN, Studio 23, Animax, etc., etc., and it was well-received and had been in the childhood of many Filipinos! Why won’t it be showing here?!
Because anime is different from live action. Because Japanese distributors don’t see the marketability of the movie here. Of course, there is a saying that we won't know until we try, but they prefer to play safe until they see good figures.
Let’s prove them otherwise.

Seeing one thousand signatures on this page is surreal given how many people told me this would never happen. I grew up watching Kenshin on local television and I am overwhelmed that so many of you share that same desire to see this story on the big screen.

Seeing one hundred people sign this list reminds me of how much this series meant to us while growing up. I truly thought I was the only one who felt so frustrated about missing out on this release. Thank you for showing everyone that there is a real audience waiting for Kenshin here.

bruh we been waiting forever for this. almost every kid grew up watching this on abs-cbn. bring it to ph cinemas pls!
I will literally pay double the ticket price just to see Takeru Sato on the big screen. dont miss out on the fan base here it is huge!
Omg yes. I still watch the anime sometimes for the nostalgia. Everyone I know wants to see this movie.
Bat naman wala tayo? Ang daming fans dito sa pinas huhu please show it!
the distributor is missing out on so much money. just look at how many fans are active on the fb groups. make it happen!
