We seek a representative who has the integrity and moral courage to lead and to stand up for the best traditions of the Democratic Party.
We seek a representative will listen to his constituents and vote in their interests -- someone who is an unequivocal big- and small-d Democrat. Someone who not kow tow to special interests or individuals and organizations holding views that are antithetical to the interests of working people.
We seek a representative who is a voice of the people.
We urge Steve Harrison to represent the 13th Congressional District and we pledge our full support to Mr. Harrison should he pursue this office.

I am currently coordinating with local labor representatives to outline our specific policy expectations for the upcoming term. These discussions are essential for establishing a clear mandate before we formally present this petition to Mr. Harrison.

The growth of this movement has reached a point where we can now formalize our outreach to Steve Harrison. I am drafting a letter to his office today to present these names as evidence of the district's demand for new leadership. My next step is to coordinate a briefing for his campaign staff to demonstrate the breadth of this support.
