This would devastate this Northern Nevada way of life. Only for someone else’s enjoyment and pleasure. I don’t see how this could benefit both parties. There are plenty of other ski resorts. Go there!!! Leave us Ranchers alone to help feed the world.

They do not need to be destroying the rubies like this. They need to leave it alone and let this town stay the way it is rather than trying to turn it into a rich people vacation zone

Not everything needs to be touched. Leave the land alone. It is someone’s legacy and not only that but the government needs to mind their own business. Quit stickin their noses where they do not belong.

My family and I have lived here for over 15 years. I agree that we do not have the water to support a ski resort and/or more housing. The locals will be paying the ultimate price of taxes, home insurance, traffic, road maintenance, etc. I’m against this because my family moved out here to enjoy quiet rural living with our beautiful mountains and wild life in our backyard. He bought land that was zoned with this living in mind. Why should we change it? The cost is not worth it.

The Ruby Mountains are one of the rare true natural beauties for local residents to enjoy. I am a 4th & 5th generation of Elko and I am 120% in disagreement of this. My husband and I made the choice to move to Spring Creek a few years ago because we found a beautiful home and we have the beautiful Ruby Mountains in our backyard with peacefulness & serenity. The impact will be devastating to the residents in the surrounding areas. The influx of tourists will be devastating to local residents, wildlife and natural beauty. Lamoille offers a heli-ski service and sometimes the snow is limited due to a dry winter. I would suggest working with the Heli-ski.
This is a very horrible idea !!!! Have any impact studies been done ????

We love the Rubies just the way they are-beautiful, wild and free, and home to mule deer, goats., etc. Save them.
