I think this is great! I've been practicing for 27 years now. I would love to see this happen for therapist continuing in the field

It’s difficult for RTs to respond to crisis areas due to individual state license requirements. Some states take several weeks to issue a license.

We ad Respiratory therapist need this compact license as nurses have. We are required so much more than nurses this would ease things for us especially with this pandemic & shortage of RT's.

It's unfair to make Respiratory Therapists pay for specific licenses in each State. It gets extremely expensive, and ends up depriving patients of optimum care due to shortages in available RT's. As a Registered Nurse, I have a Compact license, meaning I can automatically practice in several States, without having to apply and pay for licenses in each of those States. Please give RT's Compact licenses as well, for the good of everyone.
