Banning rush and recruitment serves no purpose in the re-evaluation of Greek life on campus other than hurt houses financially. Look at all the past PU’s and GM’s that came from the Greek system. RPI is going to loose a lot of student participation and organization on campus life if they go through with this

Greek like is invaluable to the RPI community and is one of the biggest pillars of social life on a campus which, let's be honest, RPI isn't known for. You want a college where people come to study and nothing else for 4 years of their life? You've done a decent job of creating a facade of good student life, but with every new decision you're making it worse. This, RPI, is how you lose people to RIT, WPI, UMass, etc.

So many greek organizations have created enjoyable spaces at RPI. It's a SHAME to know that the institution will ban the opportunity for individuals to join prestigious organizations. Organizations that MADE this school what it is. Greek life is a huge part of RPI's past and present. It's future should not be jeopardized. If RPI goes through with this ridiculous decision - all greek alumni should completely cut all communications and donations to our alma matter and instead - direct those funds to the greek houses we graduated from. I will support my organization forever and always. I am appalled to say the least.

I met pretty much all of my friends through Greek life, I wouldn’t have it any other way because these are some of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my entire life.

RPI's Greek Life is important to student culture, and many people would have left RPI if not for it. Removing rush is the first step to killing Greek life.

Even being someone who has seen the negatives of Greek Life, this is not the way to fix any of the issues. I stand with Greek Life and do not support the ban that RPI is trying to impose.

I never went greek. But I think it was an important part of the rpi community. Its the corner stone of social life on rpi's campus. Getting rid of it is the dumbest thing the admin could do which is impressive because they're constantly thinking of dumb things to do.

Greek life is an imperative part of RPI community. It builds relationships, encourages high grades, grows networks and allows students to involve themselves in philanthropy. This organization of greek life are inclusive and offer opportunities for all members Greek and not to participate in amazing fundraisers and events! Please reconsider the planed actions. Thank you
