Without the Greek system & the support of my sisters, I never would have survived RPI. All students deserve to have the choice if Greek Life is right for them. No Fall Rush, no Greek Life, no more money to RPI.

It was my house that allowed me space to develop as a person while slogging through the rigors of an RPI undergraduate degree. Without it I would have burned out and failed out as I did in postgrad. Fall rush is where the majority of recruitment happens, before students develop schedules that can be excuses for not looking in to going Greek. Starving the system of members is the death knell of RPI Greeks. These continued unilateral Administrative actions, without input from students or alumni, are why I no longer donate to RPI.

Greek life was one of the most valuable experiences of my time at RPI, and still the foundation of many of my most treasured friendships. I will not donate to RPI if my house is dismantled through no fault of its own.

My daughter is in a RPI sorority. It helped her tremendously in adjusting to the transition as a freshman during the Fall semester. Her sisters provided her with help with studying, a safe and nurturing place to go to off campus, a sense of being apart of a family while being away from home, and the comradery of a solid group of young women who are in the minority at RPI.

Greek life was one of the most important parts of my RPI experience. If the University removes or cripples Greek life I will no longer feel like I recognize the undergraduate program I attended. I would not donate anything to a university I don't recognize.

Most houses have done nothing to warrant this. Joining Greek life has made me a more successful and confident student.
