My child has spent last 10 years playing hockey at new west arenas. It is very much needed to have the 3rd arena for the growing numbers of children here.

We regularly turn away (paying) teams from our 3 main box lacrosse tournaments due to limited floor space / time. We are currently challenged with an ask from 3 American teams who want to play lacrosse in New West. This is just a common reality of having only arenas in a growing City full of young families and youth sports. This new arena would put New West "on the map" for youth sports development, and related benefits.

We need another ice arena for the growing number of ice hockey players- girls & boys. We have our Kyle Turris in NHL. New Westminster needs another rink!
