City of New Westminster Needs a 3rd Arena

I was born in Vancouver, grew up in North delta and have lived in Vancouver and Burnaby all my adult life and still play hockey. It's the Canadian sport and it's a shame that every year some kids don't have the opportunity to play and contribute to this pillar of Canadian culture. My kids went to gymnastics and daycare at the recently collapsed arenex in queens park. Our neighborhood needs more arenas.

Don't be cheap council

Absolutely a new facility is needed. When was the last one built? New West is very behind on this. City is collecting development fees all over for new construction and subsequent taxes that it is embarrassing the lack of reinvestment in the community.

Lots of kids don't have the opportunity to play Ice Hockey and they look forward to playing ball hockey as a cheaper alternative. But because of lack of rinks they don't even get to play ball hockey which is not fear for our kids

Yes, we could definately use a new rink

I am a Burnaby resident, but with two kids in ice hockey and ball hockey I see how New Westminster needs another arena.

My child is in Metro Bal Hockey and this fast-growing sport definitely needs more spaces. Another rink, please!

A great opportunity to support a community to stay fit and healthy

We need more arena's due to the influx of children wanting to be a part of the Canadian game of hockey. Presently, there is a shortage and as a result kids cannot get proper ice time.

We definitely need another arena! Anything on ice comes to a complete halt in Spring as all the arenas are being used for lacrosse! We want Spring skating lessons!

We need safe places for our kids to exercise, develop leadership and team skills and stay safe and engaged in the community!
