Both sons are part of Harpenden Colts. Would be great if they have a training pitch actually in Harpenden ( they could then walk there) and it would stop me driving to Luton twice a week

This must be allowed through. There is a real need for decent sports field facilities in Harpenden town which is not currently been met

Very much needed within the local community.
Would be great if it is suitable for hockey as the cost of playing at HHC is very high due to renting a number of different pitches. It's also very difficult to develop social relationships through the club without having a base.
As a previous Harpenden colts player travelling to training did put big demands on family members and possibly limited some peoples opportunity to play. Having a facility locally can help promote independence in our young people.

Ridiculous this still hasn't been built. A much needed facility, will be well used and lead to a much needed reduction in time spent cleaning dirty football kit. I'm certain that had there been such a pitch in place when I was at school, I would currently be sitting on a Yacht celebrating an against the odds title win rather than putting the finishing touches to an exceptionally tedious slide deck with accompanying spreadsheet.

Harpenden desperately needs this facility. Please do whatever it takes to make it happen. Hopefully the NIMBY objectors can be persuaded of the many benefits to their community for generations to come

Think this is a brilliant idea and a long time in the waiting for Harpenden to come into the 21st century. Loads of other schools in the country have these facilities and harpenden a wealth area can't get one...support kids and other clubs that can benefit.
