This would be a great addition to the sports facilities in Harpenden.

Great news. Just what Harpenden, the Colts and the School need.

Please give the go ahead for this facility for the kids. There is nowhere suitable locally with an all weather surface and floodlighting for the winter time. The kids need this resource to keep active in Harpenden. We live close by the school and it would be a great addition to promote their great sporting heritage. Thank you.

Please please please support this facility. Harpenden is sadly lacking in this facility. The school will benefit. Harpenden Colts (Youth) football will benefit hundreds if not thousands of children across various age ranges from 6-18. This is a perfect location and a perfect opportunity to enhance the community and children's sporting facilities.

This single adult all-weather pitch is the very minimum of what Harpenden needs for young girl and boy footballers. Ideally Colts (with 850 members not including associated family) need their own clubhouse and match-day pitches. At present thousands of car journeys are made to training facilities in deepest Luton/Hatfield. This has to end. At a time when local planning is discussing turning fields into mass-residential areas, when our local garages, pubs, restaurants and hotels are being allowed to turn into flats, the council should be balancing needs by improving sports facilities for kids. Look at the facilities similar sized Hertfordshire towns have - Hertford/Hatfield have the same population as Harpenden. This all-weather pitch should be a no-brainer - permission for a proper facility is well overdue.

Please allow this facility. Harpenden provides great youth sporting facilities for Rugby and Cricket, but has very poor provision for youth football. This seems the most sensible location as will benefit both the school and Harpenden Colts (Youth) Football Club.
