Harpenden have a desperate need to offer more training and sporting facilities which can be used in winter months to keep our youths fit and healthy and enjoying their sport, there is a desperate need let alone desire. Please please can you approve this project.

I don't have transport so a local training site is essential to my childs continued participation in sport.

A much needed facility for our children to use. Can only be of benefit to the wider community.

This will be a great facility and will mean our kids have somewhere locally to play in the winter months. Please support the application this time!

This facility is desperately needed for the school and the community. The saving in pollution from the long car journeys, congestion on the roads out of Harpenden and time for the parents and children of Harpenden will be enormous. I urge you to support this desperately needed facility.

We need this pitch for the youth football teams of Harpenden. Football is a fantastic, team game which keeps our boys fit and potentially hanging around street corners!!!! If my son had to train in Hatfield or further afield, he will not be able to continue. Roundwood Park has the space to build something for our young people to use and enjoy for years to come.

This facility will benefit generations of young people from all across Harpenden. Nothing could be more important than that in promoting healthy living and community spirit.

My son plays for Harpenden Colts and loves it! He has three siblings which makes it difficult for me to get him to and from training. If I have to travel outside of Harpenden it is a nightmare and could potentially mean him having to give up. An all weather pitch is a must for the area. We are significantly lacking in our sports facilities compared to our neighbouring towns such as St Albans, Luton and Hemel Hempstead.

The town is crying out for state of the art sport facilities. Last winter highlighted this need as our kids played on poor quality pitches with many matches and training sessions being cancelled.

This pitch would make a massive difference to my children who are both currently at primary school ages and both take part in sporting activities outside of school.

In this day and age with the shocking rise in Childhood obesity, anything that encourages Children, and adults for that matter, to get out and exercise should be supported by one and all. The town of this size should not be without adequate training facilities for a Youth football club the size of Colts.
