This natatorium is necessary. The sheer numbers of swimming families paired with the revenue it would bring make it a no brainer!

Truly remarkable that a city that bills itself as sports capital of Texas and has such a vibrant swim community does not have a suitable facility. Summer swim league championships, high school meets. Revenue opportunities for the city would be significant. No brainer.

Austin is so far behind the rest of the major Texas cities in aquatics. My background is high level competitive age group swimming, and we built a privately owned club that could beat every other team in Texas, but what REALLY MATTERS is that water time is available for ALL AGES, ALL LEVELS.

Swimming is a life sport so having a pool where competitions can be held in the Austin area makes complete sense. If school districts can spend money on football stadiums and basketball gyms please think of the swimmers who practice so hard but need a decent place to do it.

Everythings bigger in Texas including swimming. In our state history we've had 42 swimmers come from Texas and medal in swimming at the olympics. A collegiate national champion was produced in the pools of Round Rock High School at Micki Krebsbach. RRISD has produced numerous state champions in the waters of rinky dink pools. Imagine what could happen if there was an actual training facility. Water polo has also started to grow in the city of Round Rock bringing teams to state 3 years in a row. I could list countless more facts but this pool is a great resource for the community and a great way to hold onto the swimming tradition in Texas.
