The truck drivers around City Deep, and particularly on Vickers / Rosherville Road, have total disregard for the cars on the road. They do not stop at stop signs, drive on the wrong side of the road, and speed excessively. They are a complete hazard, and something needs to be done to hold them accountable.

Due to truck congestion at peak times, trucks park in the oncoming traffic lanes. This is extremely dangerous.

The trucks have no regard for other road users . They have made our intersection very dangerous particularly if we turn left. It is impossible to see what traffic is coming down the road as the view is blocked both ways by stationery trucks.

Trucks queuing and/or leaving MSC empty depot on Rosherville Road, in City Deep Johannesburg are a danger to all commuters using this road. Truck drivers do not practice courteous and safe driving behaviour, majority of the driver’s exhibit bad driving habits to which endanger the safety of all who use this route. Its unorganised and Chaotic – something should be done.

vehicles constantly stop alongside the road to either purchase food or to talk to their colleagues which results in other vehicles having to make unsafe decisions in order to bypass the congestion. Vehicles park under the bridge which is unsafe and illegal since it is a left turning lane to access Vickers Road and obliterate oncoming traffic. Vehicles speed along Rosherville road with no care for other road users and utilise Bridge Close as a turning circle, damaging the road by scuffing the surface in order to cut the queue into MSC Depot.
Drivers are totally arrogant and abusive when they are caught performing illegal and unlawful acts. Bonsmara road travelling towards Rosherville road is also becoming a problem in that the traffic signal is totally ignored with vehicles speeding and not able to stop their vehicles for traffic who have right of way to proceed through the traffic signal.
Vendors on the side of the road need to relocate to safer locations and this needs to be resolved by COJ as discussed when the upgrading of Rosherville road was initially discussed and before the upgrade was implemented.
