Dear Rosetta Stone Inc.,
We, the signees are well aware of the world-renowned Rosetta Stone language learning system. We have seen its effectiveness in helping our family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances learn languages that are important to them. Yet we remain unable to take advantage of your amazing software. We appeal to you to create a package that teaches Cantonese. Currently you support 14 languages that have less native speakers than Cantonese; these include Dari, Dutch, Filipino (Tagalog), Greek, Hebrew, Indonesian, Irish, Latin, Pashto, Persian (Farsi), Polish, Swahili, Swedish, and Urdu. .
Cantonese is spoken by an estimated 80 million people worldwide. It is the de facto language in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macau and is crucial to individuals conducting business in these regions. Furthermore, there is a substantial diaspora of Cantonese speakers in the Anglosphere–North America, the UK, and Australia, who have children and grandchildren that are a promising market for a Cantonese version of Rosetta Stone.
Cantonese is one of the top 20 most widely spoken languages in the world, yet effective software for teaching Cantonese is practically non-existent. This is a niche market that we beseech you to take advantage of.
Thank you for your time.
Seeing this much interest for Cantonese is honestly overwhelming and I never imagined so many people felt the same way. It really shows that there is a real hunger for this tool and you are the ones driving this forward.

Please please please Rosetta Stone, make a Cantonese version. Cantonese language is such an important part of the cultural identity for descendants of Cantonese ancestry. But all that is available is Mandarin.

Please add RS Cantonese. I have purchased Mandarin from you already and I would also purchase Cantonese, as I live and work in Guangzhou.

Indeed Cantonese is a major language spoken around those regions of the world. However Rosetta Stone is a company that is not intent on provoking the Mandarin political giant that is the PRC.
It would be nice though, in an ideal world devoid of paranoia. Kudos to Joshua for bringing this issue up.
