Hi,

My name is Matthew Bush, Im a 21 year old Business student and snowboarder from Ottawa. I’ve been a seasons pass holder at Camp Fortune Ski hill in Gatineau for a number of years now, throughout the years I’ve always wondered why it is that Camp Fortune hasn't invested in a rope tow for the park run?

With the constantly growing snowboard and ski community in Ottawa, and increased interest in terrain park riding, I believe that adding a rope tow for the park as a separate seasons pass package could greatly increase your sales by drawing in new clientele. Park riders love rope tows, they allow for the rider to get more runs in, which means more practice, and leads to more progression in riding abilities.

An increase in riding abilities for snowboarders and skiers in the Ottawa area would help build up Ottawa’s ski and snowboard community and make Camp Fortune the number one place for terrain park riding progression for hundreds of kilometres.

With a lack of park rope tows in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. This could be a great opportunity for Camp Fortune to become drastically more appealing to park riders from all around.

Some great examples of places in the United States that have done this successfully are the Afton Alps and Trollhaugen. These resorts have been a vital help in producing top tier snowboarders in the area for one reason, their rope tows.

If you support this idea, please sign the petition.

If we are able to reach the signature target, crowdfunding will begin to cut costs as much as possible for Camp Fortune.

I’d appreciate all the help I could get.

Matt
