ROCKY COLAVITO: Baseball Hall Of Fame Petition: MAKE AND CORRECT HISTORY

Rocky deserves the HOF.

The first baseball card I remember collecting was a 1958 Topps Rocky Colavito. From then on he was my favorite player. I grew up an Orioles fan and for the past fifty-five years I’ve been a Phillies fan. But I have never lost my admiration for Rocky’s talent and his accomplishments in MLB. I strongly support his selection in the Hall of Fame.

Lifelong NY Mets fan here. Time to right a very old wrong. Based on his career stats, he should be in Cooperstown. Wonder if he would already be in if he were a Yankee? Just thinking….

I grew up a diehard Mickey Mantle fan in color and Colavito with hand down the closest thing to Mickey Mantle. He absolutely belongs in the Hall of Fame.

I thought he was already in! How can he not be. What bias has denied him induction? Just shows you what a ridiculous process it is and always has been. He dominated … Period. And has the stats to prove it. Damn shame and sportswriters should be ashamed to have allowed this to happen.

Great all around player who deserves enshrinement in the Hall of Fame

Back when I was a young kid I stood out in front of his house for hours one day and finally he came out and said Hey kid come in here. They said do you want my autograph? Of course I did I was a kid and he was a major league baseball star he said do you have a pen? I said no. So he went around the house and got a pen and said do you have a ball? I said no. He said we'll give me your glove. He signed it on the thumb on the inside. I never even said a word to him. I was dumbfounded. I don't even remember walking out the door of his house in Cleveland. I was a Yankee fan living in Cleveland and of course Mickey Mantle was my idol, but Rocky colavito was a Cleveland Indian my second favorite team. His stats are worthy of Hall of Fame credentials. Rest in peace Rocky

I was fortunate enough to see him play in his prime with Detroit, and he was a player they were playing the Yankees in the the stadium and he was as good as almost everybody on the field including mantle

Should have been in HOF years ago.

One of the greatest not in HOF. Time to correct that.
