ROCKY COLAVITO: Baseball Hall Of Fame Petition: MAKE AND CORRECT HISTORY

I rode home many years ago with Connie Grob, pitcher for the Washington Senators. I was in the back seat if Cinnie’s car with Ricky Colavito riding in the front seat. I was a batboy/ballboy for the Washington Senators . Rocky turned around and spoke with me in the way to my house and Connie’s house a block away from mine. He was much interested in me and was si very nice. I will always remember Rocky and followed his career after our ride home. I later took a picture of Rocky that I have kept . Jim Ryan

Colavito in the Hall

I watched Colavito play many times. He was always impressive to watch. He electrified the crowds of fans.

This was a very good man who was the best hitter of his era.

Rocky was my first ever sports hero. I rooted him on as a Tigers fan, and rooted for him as an Indian, and later as a Yankee, even when he was playing against Detroit. I imitated the way he flexed his muscles on the on-deck circle. I strongly believe he belongs in the baseball Hall of Fame.

Great hitter and had a cannon for an arm

The Rock was definitely one of my favorite Tiger. Especially in 1961. He and Norm Cash carried the Tigers to a great season! The Tigers won 101 games, however, the team was still 8 games out of first place. They were neck and neck for first place until that devastating four game series with the Yankees, where they lost all four games.

A great Tiger outfielder and human being. He deserves to be in the HOF.

Rocky should be elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Deserve to be with the greatest.

Rocky Colavito has long been overlooked for inclusion into the HOF. What he achieved during his long career, his stats and his contribution to MLB during the Golden Age of Baseball more than warrants his inclusion into the HOF.

The Rock made me love baseball

He is very deserving.His numbers are better than n my any who are in the HOF.

I remember when Rocky Hit for home runs against The Orioles back in the day. He deserves to be in the hall.
