What an all-around baller player! Cannon for an arm. If he would of played in NY he would be in.

Growing up in Detroit in the 50's and 60's Colavito was my Tiger. Before we stood in the batter's circle we would stretch like Rocky. Two hands on the ends of the bat behind the back.

To quote Stormin' Norman Cash in '64, "Tell me, what player in baseball has hit 200 home runs in the last five years? I’ll tell you: nobody but Rocky Colavito.”

It should have happened when he was still alive. Long overdue.

I watched most of his Detroit career. Back in those days it was game of the week. One game televised on Saturday and one game on Sunday. National League and American league. We usual got whomever played the Yankees or the Dodgers.

This shows the prejudice against the Cleveland Indians and has carried on that purchase today’s guardians. It’s a shame it’s so few people control the Hall of Fame.

Need to carefully consider this man’s contribution to the game he loved and those who love and loved how her performed year after year.

Look at the numbers of comparable players of that era. Explain why Rocky Colavito is denied recognition in the Hall of Fame?
