Skateparks are often built in extremely dangerous areas, the Garland Park being a case-in-point. We need more parks that don't act as heatsinks for delinquency and crime, skateboarding is a wonderful character building sport for kids and I love connecting with father's and kids who are learning to be tough and develop their mind+body using the creative outlet/sport of skateboarding. I have been skateboarding for 25 years and have only benefited from this artistic expression which doubles as a physical workout.

Worked in Rockwall for 11 years, but always stayed in Dallas. Finally moving out this way and bummed there’s no park still.

This is a Parks and Rec feature most metro municipalities have around DFW and Rockwall, of all communities, should certainly have a permanent park that this important to it's youth. It benefits in so many way having a place to share this activity with others. Fun day out for all ages wether you participate or spectate.
