I feel that my life demands on what goes on around the Rockford area and that having the Rockford scanner open for the will really help me to know when to go outside and when not to go outside and i feel that its better to be open then close ot wouldnt be fair not to know the crime going around its like u want it to happen to us

I believe the public has every right to know what is going on around their neighborhood. For several reasons but mainly saftey . not to mention its public spectrum being used. And tax payers money being used to encrypt.

Helps me keep up on what's going on in my neighborhood and whether it it safe for me to leave the house. I live in a high crime area and have avoided a lot of incidents by being informed.

There were 3 people shot in my neighborhood, on the SE side, last night and I would have not known why there was an ambulance and police down the hill. Thanks to Rockford Scanner I was able to read what was going on. I feel safer knowing what is going on around my home. The local news doesn't share half of the situations going on around us. Thank you Rockford Scanner for all your updates.

This is bs we as a city need to know if there is someone 2 houses down getting ready to open fire.. our city has gotten terrible and to take away the only knowledge we have of this is simply insane !!! Very disappointed citizen! !!

I think its not in the cities near interest for people to not know if someone is close to them shooting off guns. We need updates and to know when to protect ourselves

I hope we all can do something to stop this, this is are right to know what is going on in our city and iy the police do this we all wont know anything they wiill keep the public in the dark and then you font know what eles will be going on behind closed doors.

I relly on this through the scanner page cause I'm not always at home. I check the scanner and anything that may have happened or is happening i know and can be on the look out. If i hear of an accident i can automatically call my loved ones to make sure they're ok. Keeping the scanners open is awesome! There is more pros then cons to keeping it open.
