The town of GFW is proposing a new 9 dwelling development directly behind the schools. This will not only infringe upon the trail but ruin approximately 75% of it.

This is a concerning issue both safety wise and spiritual. It’s important for the community to come together to protect the Nature Trail behind Forest Park Primary, Sprucewood Academy and Kids kingdom Daycare. The trail provides valuable outdoor learning opportunities for students and staff, and it would be a shame to see it ruined by a new development.

It's important to voice your concerns to the town and advocate for the preservation of the trail. There may be alternative locations for the development that would not impact the trail and the schools. Let's work together to protect this valuable outdoor space for our children and future generations. Share this information and get involved in the conversation to help save the nature trail.

Updates

The feedback from local parents confirms that this trail is essential for our school day routine. I am currently mapping out the alternative development sites to present to the town council. Send an email to your local representative today and demand they visit the trail site to see what is at stake.

The momentum behind this effort is undeniable and it proves that our town values this land. Email your town council representative today to demand they look for alternative building sites. Post this link on your Facebook page and text three friends to keep the pressure on.

There are plenty of town land spaces available. Why take away something that is good for the kids. If you’re going to take away nature trails go take some of the Codroy Nature trails. There’s plenty of them.

Let the kids keep their trails , the mayor for one should be wanting to keep them seeing how he is so involved with the other trail in town. He should know the effects the outdoors have on the children.

This trail was shrunken by the town previously, what's left of it needs to be protected.

Finish some of the land development that’s already started.
