Dear Ms. Courtney Paschal:

We are alumni of RCHS, parents of past, current, and future Cougars, concerned citizens and determined boosters. We are excited to have you as our Athletic Director, with your experience of overseeing multiple championship teams and your ties to RCHS and our community. We look forward to continuing to rebuild the athletic programs at RCHS with you.

As you are aware, we are extremely unhappy and unsatisfied with the football program at our beloved institution. We feel it no longer enhances our school, but hinders it and hurts our young men coming through the program. Our biggest obstacle is that we need to have a coaching staff that buys into our men and school. We understand that the current staff was named on an interim basis. We wish to make a unified request that a coach be searched for and selected that has the highest standard of character, is able to build a program and run it from the top down, has a vision and a plan that can be executed with the help from boosters and administration, and charisma to motivate our young men and garner their respect.

We are looking forward to welcoming the future coaching staff for Rockingham County High School Football Program. It is our desire to make our program strong and an asset to our school and community. You can’t put a price tag on what a strong football team brings to a small town. With a new charter high school coming to our county we are extremely concerned we will lose students and athletes and we will do everything in our power to keep that from happening at Rockingham. We are asking and seeking your support in the matter of a new coaching staff.
