The Sarasota County Board of Commissioners position is a full time position that reuires full time duty. To attempt to lead Argus as a part-timer does disservice to the Sarasota BOCC and Argus.

Blantant conflict of interest, regardless of what opinion she instructed the Co. attorney to draft to justify her decision. (2) SOLICITATION OR ACCEPTANCE OF GIFTS.—No public officer, employee of an agency, local government attorney, or candidate for nomination or election shall solicit or accept anything of value to the recipient, including a gift, loan, reward, promise of future employment, favor, or service, based upon any understanding that the vote, official action, or judgment of the public officer, employee, local government attorney, or candidate would be influenced thereby. [Section 112.313(2), Florida Statutes.] (7) CONFLICTING EMPLOYMENT OR CONTRACTUAL RELATIONSHIP.— (a) No public officer or employee of an agency shall have or hold any employment or contractual relationship with any business entity or any agency which is subject to the regulation of, or is doing business with, an agency of which he or she is an officer or employee... nor shall an officer or employee of an agency have or hold any employment or contractual relationship that will create a continuing or frequently recurring conflict between his or her private interests and the performance of his or her public duties or that would impede the full and faithful discharge of his or her public duties. [Section 112.313(7)(a), Florida Statutes.]

If I was hiring for Argus, I would require the full attention of my employee...Clearly, robinson would be a poor fit for the job.

One cannot have two full time jobs. Even if there is no conflict with regards to content there is a constant conflict with time, and one's personal responsibilities to themselves and their family.

I don't believe Mrs. Robinson will serve in good faith for the citizens of Sarasota County if she hold both seats. It will be a question as to where her loyalty will be.
Moved protected to consolidate and assist builders with larger tracks for development. Then took from the remaining land which was reserved for parks to a gun range. Just be careful on those hiking trails around Sarasota

Let's face it, Robinson is setting herself up for some future higher office. Her audition with Argus is a natural step in the process. She has punched her ticket as a Planner and Commisioner, now she should do the right thing and resign her county job.

I have worked with members of the BCC on several issues during my 23 years of living in Sarasota County. I enjoyed the processs of helping to craft legislation because even when there were disagreements regarding process or outcome, I had faith honor and dignity would prevail. Robinson's disregard for those standards strips me of that faith.
