Divorce is traumatic enough for children but allowing one parent to alienate their children from the other parent is criminal. To have the state of West Virginia complicit in this is wrong. Look at the facts, let Mark make his case and restore his time with his children before any more harm is done.

I've known Mark and Faith for all of their married lives. I've only seen loving behavior from both of them towards their children. Having a large family of six children myself, I understand that life can get stressful, husband and wife relationships can suffer. The children still need BOTH parents even if the parents no longer wish to share their lives. Things can't get better being separated though. I don't understand why family counseling isn't in order to work out the issues, so that Mom and Dad can amiably part and arrive on healthy terms for the children to be in the lives of BOTH their parents which will include extended families and all the other folks in their lives who are important to them as well. Let's move on with some positive changes to help everyone live happier lives. Please allow all the children to begin unlimited interactions with their father again in an unbiased, safe, and loving environment.

I cannot imagine that a wife can make an unsubstantiated charge of domestic abuse that results in the indefinite separation of a father from his children for all but one hour a week, especially when there has never been a substantiated or even alleged history of any physical abuse to the children or the wife by the father. But that is what my brother is faced with. It is a gross miscarriage of justice, an appalling abridgement of Mark's rights as a father, and a horrible punishment for the children.

Since there is still a question around Mark's guilt or innocence in matters related to this case, the attitude of the court should be that he is innocent until facts are proven beyond reasonable doubt that he is a threat to his children. I've know Mark for over 30 years, and whatever issues he may have with his wife, I know he loves his children. Since marital reconciliation doesn't seem possible at this time, preserving the relationships between parents and children should be a goal. Perhaps an independent mediator (not court-appointed) would help both parents understand the impact of their actions on their children and help them work together for the good of the children.

My ex wife feel into deep depression after the birth of our daughter. Diagnosed as extreme bi-polar she began to go off violently against me, twice knocking me out. The incidents were turned around from everyone in the neighborhood to the courts. l never once from mediation to judges met a male or sympathetic person who would hear my side. Even with social services and photos of abuse on me and neglect of my daughter, no one was going to stand up and listen to a so called "W.Va dumb ass redneck" as was describe by my wife, a masters degree therpist. Then it came to a hired beating by her and a large man. They left me partially paralized and took my daughter away for a year. I was arrested put on a stretcher and carried to jail because it was witnessed by three against one that l attacked her first. In the end she attacked another co worker and her illness was exposed through another angle then all the facts brought forward by a father. This was a extreme case but the courts are easly pursuanted by false and fabricated stories to supposedly protect the children and mothers understand the system of the courts and use it. There needs to be a mediator before the children are brain washed by bitterness that hurts them even more and a father who can never just turn off his love for his children because a court system demands it. What happened to me l had to forgive to allow my daughter to grow without anger and bitterness that the courts were going to feed by cutting of my access as a father. She has recovered as l have but seperation is hard on everyone and the court system can misread "go blind sided" to the need to treat everyone with fairness. Fathers too!

I believe Mark Robinson to be innocent; however, as an LPC working in concert with over 15 county DFACS in the State of Georgia from 2003-2011, I know and have counseled parents who are guilty of abuse or neglect and they are allowed to see their children. I have also testified as an expert witness in about 10 of those 15 counties. To keep the children from seeing their father and deny visitation to the children is to totally undermine the family bond. Since reunification can't be the goal, due to the parents' divorce, at the very least allow the children to feel love and support from both parents. In my professional opinion, The mother should be provided Professional Counseling, as well as the father and the children. There should also be Family Counseling with mom and the children, and father and the children. Also, each parent should have Individual Counseling. Finally, and most importantly today, there should be Family Counseling between the parents to deal with Parental Alienation, how that affects the children, what each parent needs to change, boundaries that parents set between themselves and their children, especially about how they feel about the other parent and finally the commitment each makes to not speak poorly about the other. If you need anything further, please feel free to give me a call at 404-226-2832. Sandy Camp, MAMFT, former LPC for 20 years

An hour a week supervised is far too restrictive.

As a paralegal for a domestic relations, juvenile guardian ad litem, I unfortunately see cases on a daily basis where children are stripped from their mothers and fathers. For undocumented, unproven violence, neglect and abuse. If these reports are unsubstantiated, and I truly believe this family is being ripped apart for no other reason than ones own satisfaction and a way to keep the children from their parent is horrendous! I hope and pray he is reunited with his children!!

I am Mark's sister, and these dear children are my nieces and nephews. They need their daddy. I believe firmly that the charges against him are groundless and being used to keep him from his children.

Please allow these children and their Dad to continue their relationship that has been on hold since August for the health and well-being of both parties. Children need their Dad and here is one who wants to be in their lives! Don't slam the door in their faces!
