The naming of the park in his honor was not due to his feats on the baseball field, it was more due to his actions in life to help others...it is a shame that a great man's name must be wiped from the honored bestowed upon him due to a group simply wanting a name to match their own history

As a Hispanic American women it saddens me to know a community of people in the city of Lowell would try and rename a memorial park it's about legacy not about who occupies the area . This is a harsh way of showing the outside world our community is diverse and welcoming ! There's nothing welcoming about being run out of park because of ethnicity if you want it to be about unity call It Roberto Clemente Unity Park and recreation ! God bless
