Dear Primary School Parents:
Many of you are aware that due to budget contraints, Rob Walker has not been offered to return to Tuxedo Park School for the next school year. Our son Max (Grade 3) has had a wonderful experience with Rob and we consider him to be one of the finest teachers we have encountered in our 7 years at the school (we have another child currently in 6th grade). My wife and I truly feel that the school will be at a loss without Rob's presence. Not surprisingly, we have encountered many parents who share our feelings.
I strongly encourage all parents to join me in this petition to keep Rob Walker at TPS. I hope to get enough support so that we can send a message to the Board of Directors and to the incoming head of school.
I thank you in advance for your support and hope that our strength in numbers will keep Rob at TPS for many years to come.

I have been hearing from so many of you who share our family's deep appreciation for what Rob brings to our classrooms every single day. Seeing these stories reminded me exactly why I started this effort because losing a teacher who makes such a profound impact on our children is not something we can accept quietly. I am currently working on organizing these testimonials to present to the leadership team so they understand how vital he is to our school community.

Seeing this much support for Rob reminds me exactly why our family fell in love with this community in the first place. The momentum building behind this effort shows just how much he has shaped our children and it is time for the administration to hear us clearly.

Mr. Walker is an amazing teacher and has the utmost impact on my son. Garrison has such a love for history and also a sense of awe that was inspired by Rob's enthusiasm, love and overall positive energy.
We are deeply saddened about the budget cuts and the decision to let Rob Walker go. He is an exemplary teacher and is an ideal role model. I have seen so many teachers, at so many schools, while doing my curriculum research and TPS will never find another teacher like him.... He is irreplaceable! There must be other ways to save or raise funds, but cutting top teachers should been seen as a last resort. TPS needs him and I know that he loves TPS!!!
Rob's influence extends beyond the second grade. My son Luca (3rd) was lucky to have him for both 1st and 2nd grade and still talks about him. TPS will be a lesser place without him.
Rob Walker is an amazing teacher and a fantastic person. He has a wonderful energy and really connects with his students. My son was lucky enough to have him as a teacher for a few years and still takes part in Rob's sports discovery programs. It would be a terrible loss for the school if his contract is not renewed.
I fully support this petition to keep Mr. Walker at TPS. Mr. Walker exemplifies TPS values both personally and professionally and is a tremendous asset to the school and its students. It is rare to find someone with the teaching gifts that he has. Our son has thrived with Mr. Walker this year and we want other TPS students to continue to have the opportunity to become inspired, passionate learners under Mr. Walker's caring and enthusiastic guidance.

Mr. Walker is an outstanding teacher and a favorite (maybe the favorite) of our son Henry. I strongly encourage TPS to reconsider its decision and keep Mr. Walker on staff. It is very rare to find a teacher who has such a profound impact on students. Who else can inspire 1st and 2nd graders to truly love history?
