The London Borough of Brent remains one of the hotspots for youth violence, high unemployment, and inter-post code conflict.
The African Caribbean Careers & Employment Support Services (Access UK),Road CEO youth programme (10-28),aims to provide tailored outreach solutions within the most affected wards of Brent.
Our community based prevention and intervention services, will focus on the 3 E's of EDUCATION,EMPLOYMENT and ENTREPRENEURSHIP .Our objective is to replicate and expand the previous success of our"Gang Stars" project in Brent:
We will aim to actively engage the so called "hard to reach",offering tangible ringfenced opportunities helping young people to either avoid or exit a potential life on the "Roads" and acheive their maximum potential.

The growth of this petition has shifted our position with local stakeholders. We have secured a briefing with council leads to review our proposal for the Road CEO youth programme. My next move is to finalize the formal presentation of our intervention model for that discussion.

I fully support this vital service delivery in our deliberately underfunded and misguidedly overlooked section of our community.
ACCESS UK are a reknowned and effective provider in Haringey, having delivered successfully delivered culturally appropriate schemes that empower many of our youths to utilise their own narratives to achieve successful and resilient futures. This organisation can only be a credit to your strategy.

The bespoke services provided by Access UK actually support the needs of our African and Caribbean youth as opposed to the scant, one-size brushstrokes that our community have been subjected to for generations.
Something has to be Done, elders need to show the way so the youth can find themselves again because at this moment of time they are so lost
